Janice Lukes

Winnipeg’s transit system in three words: Overhaul transit system

Gives current transit system a letter grade of C- but in the Southwest it will be A+ when the transitway opens.

Good transit means employment, poverty reduction and improved quality of life.

Transit is held back by mayoral leadership and the strong mayoral model of government.

Frequency: Vision for transit: high frequency network in the entire city.

Safety: Supports FTW’s vision for improved safety.

Operating funding: Supports catching up to transit operating funding in other cities.

Supporter of Functional Transit Winnipeg.
